The Rant and The Cult (book bundle)

THE RANT can been seen as an extention to The Cult of Oxytocin and is a written artistic reaction to the development of the blockchain technology based on Ejlerskov’s own practice. It is a vision that connects our physical and digital world and leads the way into a possible future, where our spirit and bodies are as much part of the technological revolution as the upcoming decentralized internet.

The Cult of Oxytocin, is an ode to the Goddess of Oxytocin - the love hormone we as humans inherited from our ancestors. Concurrently offering a zoom into the complex eternal battle between Oxytocin and the survival hormone Adrenaline, the works in the book also suggest indulgence in the rush of love. Ultimately, the work here serve as guides for the visitor to regain control over these forces. An instrumental art experience, if you will.

The book is centered around Ejlerskov's NFT AR sculpture and an exhibition at Nikolaj Kunsthal, DK, consisting of a series of large scale Dream Gradient paintings, a sci-fi Oxytocin meditation with projectors in the church ceiling, a series of huge woven wool carpets and sculptures in polyamide. The coherence of the different media and an overview of the ideas of this body of work, is presented through text and images in this book.
