The Inverted Pyramide (book)

The Inverted Pyramide is a catalogue in Danish produced by Viborg Kunsthal, DK in relation to Ejlerksov's solo show with the same title in 2020.
Through different media, the exhibition circled around an investigation of the possibility that we are actually living in a simulation - that our reality is actually a hyper-realistic simulated existence, created by some other entity. Here, Ejlerskov used philosopher Nick Brostöm's argument, where the structure of such a simulation looks like an inverted pyramid and the point at the bottom of this triangle is the true reality – the reality that we cannot see. The paintings of the show were inspired by several painting traditions such as reductive painting, fiber art from the 1960s, charter holiday aesthetics from the 1980s and contemporary science fiction.

The books are a thin catalogue with a glossy coating on the represented triangle painting.
